Cinematography That Resonates

I’m a cinematographer working across fiction, documentary and high-end commercial projects - driven by the belief that images should move you before they impress you. For me, cinematography is not about creating perfect pictures, but about capturing rhythm, atmosphere and emotional truth.

Over two decades in the industry have taught me that light, movement and trust are inseparable. Whether on an intimate set or a large-scale international production, I lead with calm precision, empathy and a deep respect for collaboration. My approach is grounded in clarity - both in communication and in vision.

With a background in fine art, my work balances authenticity and aesthetics; texture and tone. I’m equally curious about the tools shaping our future - from virtual production to AI-driven pre-visualisation - and how they can serve the human side of storytelling.

Every project begins with a question: how should this story feel?
My role is to make that feeling visible - so it can be seen, remembered and felt again.

"I have worked with Nicklas on several projects and can always rely on his flexibility, sense of style, and skill as a DoP. He is humble, easy to work with, and a clear recommendation when a director has yet to choose a DoP. I can highly recommend him to others."
